Ingredients

  • 6 hard-boiled eggs, peeled and rinsed
  • 2 1/2 cups Cheez-It® original crackers, divided
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill, plus more for garnish
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt, plus more to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Hot sauce, to your liking
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Directions

1. Separate egg yolks and whites. Slice each egg in half vertically. Carefully remove the yolks to a medium mixing bowl, saving the egg white halves on a separate plate.

2. Crush ¾ Cheez-It® crackers  in your hands and add to the egg yolk bowl. To the same bowl, add the mayonnaise, fresh dill, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, and hot sauce. Use a fork to combine these ingredients until entirely combined. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Keep chilled until ready to use.

3. Heat 1 ½ inches of oil in a Dutch oven or heavy-bottomed skillet to 350°F.

4. Pulse remaining 1 ½ cups Cheez-It® crackers in a food processor until finely ground.

5. Place flour in a small bowl. In another bowl, beat together raw eggs until smooth. In a third bowl, mix together Cheez-It® crumbs, smoked paprika, and 1 teaspoon kosher salt.

6. Take each egg white half and dredge it in flour, gently shaking off the excess before dipping it in the beaten egg. Coat in beaten egg, then let the excess liquid drip away. Finally, dredge in the Cheez-It® mixture.

7. Fry the coated egg whites in the prepared oil until golden brown, working in batches to avoid overcrowding. Remove to a paper towel-lined plate and season with salt.

8. Allow the fried egg whites to cool slightly before spooning in the egg yolk mixture. Garnish deviled eggs with a Cheez-It® cracker and fresh dill. Serve immediately.
